ELEVATOR CLASSES
The elevator classification determined by the International Standards and made according to the purpose of use is as follows.
Class-1 Elevators: Residential Elevators
They are elevators designed especially for the purpose of transporting people.
Class-2 Elevators: Elevators for General Use
They are elevators that are mainly designed to carry people, but can be carried with loads when necessary.
Class-3 Elevators: Elevators in Healthcare Facilities
They are elevators designed primarily for use in healthcare facilities.
Class-4 Elevators: Freight Elevators
They are mainly elevators designed for the transportation of goods accompanied by individuals.
Class-5 Elevators: Monsoon (Food) Elevators
They are elevators designed for the transport of small loads with a cabin that people cannot enter due to their size and shape.
Class-6 Elevators: High Speed Elevators
They are elevators that move at speeds of 2.5 m/s and above, designed for high-rise buildings with traffic.
